The why of self-loathing.

“Cover up. You don’t want to scare the neighbourhood children.” (while mowing the lawn bare-chested)… “You better put that away, or the birds will peck it off.”… “Don’t go in there. Your father’s naked.”… “Let’s make love with the lights off. It’s so much more sensual.”… “Eeeeww! That’s gross.” (at a sign for a naturist resort)… “I don’t know how you can sleep naked. It’s so cold.”… “You really should wear underwear. It’s more hygienic.”… “Nobody wants to see that”… “You can’t close the curtains naked! Someone will see you.”… “A jock strap will keep your private parts from falling out”… Women don’t like to see a man all naked.”… “Nudists are just exhibitions.”…

No wonder it feels so good to drop the clothes.

LOL! Cool! I think we’ve all been through the same routine! Take care and stay bare, my new nudist buddy! 🙂

Amen, brother. Kids tend to love being naked, yet we’re taught to feel ashamed of our bodies and hide them as we age. I’m tired of hiding, and I’m tired of shame.
